Who is More Powerful – Countries or Companies?



With the stock market making major gains this year, the market capitalization of some public companies is soaring to new heights. Market capitalization, or “market cap,” is calculated by multiplying the number of a public company's outstanding shares by the current market price of a share. With several public companies approaching or exceeding the $1 trillion mark in market capitalization, some have values exceeding the GDP of different countries. In this visualization, we compare the GDP of various countries with the market capitalization of some well-recognized brands to see how they stack up.

Former world judo champion Found Dead.

Tragedy as #British former world judo champion Craig Fallon, 36, is found dead at beauty spot two days after being reported missing #Dailymail. Co.uk The 36-year-old's body was found in east Shropshire after a police hunt was launched on Sunday. Police said a body was found at The Wrekin in the early hours of Monday morning. The cause of death has not yet been revealed, however, West Mercia Police said no third party is believed to be involved and added the coroner had also been informed. British Judo performance director Nigel Donohue described Mr Fallon as the most successful British judo athlete of the modern era. His former coach Fitzroy Davis described him as 'one of the greats of world Judo'.
